  • Inventory data (stock levels, locations, cost data)
  • Basic store information (shop domain, currency, timezone)

2.2 Account Information

We store your Shopify store domain and access tokens securely to provide our services.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Detect margin-related issues in your store
  • Generate alerts and recommendations
  • Provide historical analytics (for Growth tier)
  • Improve our detection algorithms

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform with encryption at rest and in transit. We follow industry best practices for data security including:

  • Encryption using AES-256
  • Regular security audits
  • Access controls and monitoring
  • SOC 2 compliant infrastructure

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

  • When required by law
  • With service providers who help us operate (e.g., cloud hosting)
  • In anonymized, aggregated form for improving our services

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your app remains installed. Upon uninstallation:

  • Real-time data is deleted within 24 hours
  • Historical data (Shadow Database) is deleted within 30 days
  • Backup copies are purged within 90 days
